Our Structure
The Düsseldorf Business School possesses two essential structural features.
One of these is that the school is closely connected to the Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf - established through a cooperation agreement. This especially means that the exams for obtainment of the Master Degree are administered by the university, and that the Master Degree is conferred by the university. Moreover, the Düsseldorf Business School has the legal structure of a GmbH with different types of shareholders. Alongside the University of Düsseldorf and professors of the Faculty for Business Studies and Economics, leading businesses and institutions in the Düsseldorf region contribute, above all, practically-relevant instruction to the school via the involvement of professors from businesses.
The managing director of the Düsseldorf Business School is a professor of the Faculty for Business Studies and Economics of the University of Düsseldorf. Central strategic decisions as well as decisions regarding the admission to study are made by the Academic Advisory Board, whose members are composed from the university administration, representatives of business practices, and university professors from the Faculty for Business Studies and Economics. The board is directed by a professor from the Faculty for Business Studies and Economics. The school receives intensive advising and assistance through the board of trustees, with individuals from the university and leading businesses in the region of Düsseldorf.
